29-Day Giving Challenge

29 GIFTS -- GIVE A LITTLE BIT. MAKE A BIG IMPACT.

29 Gifts is a global giving movement with several thousand members in 38 countries. Our collective mission at 29 Gifts is to revive the giving spirit in the world. We change lives—and change the world—one gift at a time. You can learn more about how our 29-Day Giving Challenge works and sign up to join us by committing to give your gifts to the world.
29 Gifts: How A Month Of Giving Can Change Your Life is available in book stores now. 29 Gifts is the insightful story of how our founder, Cami walker, saw her life change as she embraces and reflects on the naturally reciprocal process of giving and receiving. By Day 29, not only had Cami’s health and happiness improved, but she had created a worldwide giving movement. The book also includes personal essays from others whose lives changed for the better by giving 29 Gifts. More than a memoir, 29 Gifts offers inspiring lessons on how a simple daily practice of altruism can dramatically alter your outlook on the world. Visit your local bookstore to buy a copy now, or order online from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Borders today.

November 27 ~ Day One

This morning began sweet. I gave chocolate to my sister and her friend, and shared goodies from the box of goodies my mother sent me for my birthday. It's a bit embarrassing to admit that my mother still sends me goodie-boxes. But i guess it is because she doesn't have grandchildren who have assumed that important responsibility of receiving those lovingly sent boxes. Instead the three of us, all in our 30s, delighted in the treats and made pancakes together for breakfast.

Then came the visit t… Continue

Heart Doctor Day (Day 21 Round 3)

My middle daughter has a slight heart murmur. It was heard when she was 14 yrs old. We went to the pediatric cardiologist in a city an hour from our house for a check up and tests then. All was well, just something to keep tabs on, he wanted to see her in 3 years. OMgoodness! the 3 years flew by of course and it was time to see "the heart doctor" as we call him again. We went and received great news that nothing has changed and she is perfectly fine. Praise God, that is a gift to us. While we we… Continue

Day 24, 25 and 26

I got a little behind on my blogging it seems. So I will combine the last three days into one blog.

On Tuesday (hear I go again), I ordered 5 more copies of The Go-Giver to give away randomly to people. I also mailed a copy of a book called on real estate investing to a young "go-getter" I know. He recently called me wanting advice on real estate. He's a young man on the way to the top. He reminds me of the young protagonist in The Go-Giver so I plan to send him a copy of that boo… Continue

Day 6 - Thanksgiving Day

I made sure to count my blessings today and they are many! I am very thankful! My gift today was cooking a delicious Thanksgiving feast for my family. We had a great day playing games, watching movies and eating delicious food.

Day 3 and 4

Day 3
My boyfriend and I were heading up north to visit his family for the holiday. I spent the majority of the morning running around, trying to get all of our errands done before leaving for the weekend. While I was at CVS, I was asked to donate money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and I did. Although we do not have much money, this small monitary donation felt like the right thing to do. The dollar amount of the donation was added to the amount I spend and I happily swiped my credit card.… Continue
