Cleaning House...Day 6

I know...reading the title even makes me yawn. I have some friends who really enjoy the process of cleaning and I am not one of those people. I enjoy the fruits of my labor but the cleaning itself takes my mind off to far away lands and previous lives until I plug back in and find myself in

Day Eight, Nine, Ten and Eleven

Day eight I made my mom a nice dinner. That was fun. Day nine I took the kids to DQ, something we hadn't done for awhile. Day ten I made a trifle for the office BBQ, they all loved it and asked for the recipe. Oh and before I forget day eleven, I made our bed in the morning. This might seem trivial, but I could care less. I could wait till just before bedtime, but my husband appreciates a made bed and I haven't been up to it lately. And now speaking of bed, I think I'll go mess it up again and g… Continue

what is a peaceful woman?- Day 27, 28, 29, 30- implosion

It has been said on occasion that I am pretty creative. (Honestly, I am still looking for my creative art direction award). In regards to time and the 29 day challenge, my creativity shows up in my ability to implode or rather the creation of time implosion.

My last 4 days of massive inactivity have prevented me from even opening my eyes let alone my notebook. Depression is a curious thing. It takes on a life of its own. I have not had attention for anything longer than a 30 second com… Continue

worries and hopes

Thursday, 7/29

My father has heart disease. He suffered his first heart attack at 39, a second and double bypass surgery at 44. He has had at least one small heart attack since then and has had to have many
stents put in and is on lots of medication. Over the past month he has been especially tired and easily

out of breath. He finally called the doctor, had a catheter last week and received terrible news. His one stent was blocked and both his bypasses w

So happy to be back

Tuesday, 7/27/10

My first day back to the challenge was a good day of giving. It started with a visit to my parents. My sister Kerry has a baby girl who is only 27 days younger than Jason. We have been meeting at my parents’ house once a week so they can see the amazing changes that are occurring each week.
We both live an hour from our parents (opposite directions). I brought a present for my niece. While at a yard sale, Jonathan and I saw a

Balloon apple was great. I'm always trying to think of a way to help entertain restless little ones when I'm in a waiting room and can see a parent trying. I've been putting off getting in touch with a friend who has a new baby I want to see (becaus…

Couldn't agree more Amy Pie! Haven't made my bed since I left my mom's house. Okay, maybe when mother-in-law comes over or a guest that wants a tour of the house.

Thanks, Deb. My family drives me insane, but they are so important to me. LJ- Jonathan suggested the screen name "squiggle butt." I think I'll keep working on it.
