Thank you for bringing an awareness to this simple, but effective way to make the world a better place and improve our own life! My yoga guru and friend from the OrangeCarbon Studio in Seattle Wa pretty much told me the same thing and although I still do not understand how or why - I do know the key is Love.

We love our self (I do that thru my yoga practice) and then we begin to share our love with others, as you are doing with flowers, meals, letters, etc...

Your courage under fire is a testament to the human spirit. Even while I was going through cancer I kept my thoughts on others rather than focusing on what doctors said about the disease. When we do our part, the universe (God) does the rest.
