29-Day Giving Challenge

This month marks the beginning of the traditional holiday season, complete with Thanksgiving - a holiday devoted to being grateful for the bounty in our lives. It’s a time to take notice of what we have, whether that’s things, or people.

I have so much to be grateful for this holiday season - a thriving community of givers, a newly released book, wonderful friends and family, my health, and the opportunity to share the spirit of the 29 Gifts movement with thousands of people.

So in the spirit of the upcoming holiday, as well as that of our 29 Gifts Movement, I have decided to start this discussion in hopes that each of you will leave replies telling us 3 (or more!) things in your life that you are grateful for. What are you grateful for today?

I've also begun a Gratitude Greetings event for this month. You can read more and join in here:

Today I am grateful for so many things:
1.)The gorgeous weather today for one thing - the yard is covered in a blanket of colorful leaves and each time the breeze blows they dance. It was chilly last night, but watching this leafy performance under the full moon last night was breathtaking!

2.)The opportunity to work my butt off. My husband has been laid off since last Christmas, and things have been tough for us financially for a good while, but I am grateful now to have 2 full time clients for whom I work from home, as well as a night time job waiting tables that has been giving me 6 shifts a week. There's a light at the end of the tunnel, and I am SO grateful for that!

3.) The relationships that exist in my family. I'm so lucky to have a wonderful relationship with my husband, even after 17 years and all that we've been through we're very close and completely in love. I am also lucky to share open and close knit relationships with all of my children, even the teenagers, as well as having the blessing of the chance to build/rebuild relationships with 2 of my step kids. There is nothing more important than family, and mine is wonderful!

I have so much to be grateful for....Health -- only a few little problems in 63 years
Love - Found and married the love of my life at 45 and had 11 wonderful years with him.
Wisdom - Positive attitude and gratefulness of life has gotten me thru some terrible
times such as losing my husband to pancreatic cancer in six weeks and my
son and nephew in a terrible accident. The wisdom I was taught as a child was to be grateful
for what blessings you have.

As a 3-time cancer survivor, I am so grateful for my health and each day that I am alive to enjoy. As a mother who has lost a child, I am grateful every day for my 2 grown children, for their spouses whom I love dearly, and for the 4 beautiful grandchildren they have given me. As an individual, I am grateful for my funny, kind, and loving husband who remains my best friend and champion, as much today as he was all those years ago. Last, but not least, I am grateful for those special friends who are my encouragers and supporters, not to mention just fun to be with and talk to.

Today I am grateful (that I found 29-Gifts!) for my beautiful, smart, wonderful, healthy daughter - she is the light of my life! I am grateful that I had the best mother in the world - as I get older, I discover more and more of her strength deep inside me - while I deeply mourn her loss every day even after all this time I know she is in a better place - exploring the Universe, sailing among the stars, Being with the All of Everything and my comfort comes when my skin is touched by a gentle breeze, reassuring strength. I am grateful that I have the ability to be grateful for small things - that I am more and more every day seeing the Beauty of Creation all around, from grass blades to expansive skies, from the uniqueness of every person on the planet to the ability to forgive and release old hurts and misunderstandings. I am grateful for color, texture, air, light, dirt, grass, clouds, trees, oceans, rivers, and the Stream of Well-Being that Flows Through Me. I am grateful for Awareness that grows everyday - Awareness of Spirit's work in, around, next to, and through me. I am grateful to be a Conduit of Spirit's Grace and Love, ever far-reaching, extending, expanding. I am grateful to have a viewpoint that sees things artistically - we live in an amazingly beautiful and incrediblely crafted world/universe! I am grateful for the Grace and Favor that Flows in and through my life, blessing me every day. I am grateful for the Intelligence of my mind to perceive all the Wonderful Things Spirit Gives to Us Every Day. I am grateful that the World is Evolving into more Awareness of these Truths - though we have wars, the day will come when the Awareness will be Greater and It Will Prevail. I am grateful that I know hard times don't last and that all that's happening now in the world wll pass and that Better Times are Coming for All of Us. I am Grateful for the Sheer Ability to Know Gratitude. It is a transcendent experience! I am grateful to Know Spirit First-Hand. I am grateful to be Blessed.

I am most thankful that my husband has his job. With so many out of work we are blessed in this aspect of our lives.I am also grateful for decent health. I have many medical issues but it could be much worse. I could be incapacitated. I am grateful for my my Granddaughter as she keeps me more joyful every day. Things in the world are so depressing anymore so I stay as positive as possible. Thanks to Cami my outlook on life is even better. I'm thankful for you Cami:0)
