HOW TO: Change Email Settings or Cancel Your Account

Hi. If you wish to cancel your membership, this message explains the steps.

 We'd be SO APPRECIATIVE if you're willing to leave your profile up on our site so we have record of your involvement. It's the only way we can "count" you toward our 29,000 giver goal.

Often people who ask to cancel actually want to NOT RECEIVE EMAIL from the site. If that's the case, you can leave your profile up and follow these steps and turn off all email. Just make sure you HIT SAVE when you're done changing your email settings. Sometimes people get frustrated that they've changed the email settings and are still getting email, but in every case they had failed to save the new settings in the system.

TO TURN OFF ALL EMAIL:
1. Log into the community page at http://www.29gifts.org

2. Click the SETTINGS link, which is in the upper right corner of the screen under your name, inbox, alerts and friends links.

3. Click the email link in the left sidebar of the edit profile page

4. Scroll down a bit and click the check box so an X appears next to to the line that says
NONE: I DON'T WANT TO RECEIVE EMAILS FROM 29-DAY GIVING CHALLENGE

5. CLICK THE SAVE* BUTTON just to the right and under that line of text.

If you don not click save and wait for the process to complete, your changes will not be saved.

If you want to unsubscribe or remove your profile from the site for some other reason, follow these steps. If you're willing to share the reason you're leaving or any complaints, you can email [e-mail]. It helps us improve our community if we understand why people choose to leave.
1. Log into the community page at http://www.29gifts.org

2. Click the Settings link, which is in the upper right corner of the screen under your name, inbox, alerts and friends links.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of the profile editing page and click "Leave this network"

You have a wonderful network and it seems to be growing all the time.  I simply don't have time to actively contribute and my email box is constantly bombarded with '29 Gifts' messages.  I've enjoyed my short involvement and would certainly consider signing up again at a later stage.
