HOW TO: Use the Online Gift Feature

Where does the money from the online gift feature go?
They money comes to 29 Gifts and is applied toward our monthly operating expenses. Our network is costly to run, so your support is greatly appreciated.

HOW TO:  Give a Gift using the online gift feature
Click on the "Give a Gift" link on any member's page, comment wall, or birthday box.  From here, you can pick a gift, enter a personalized message, and choose the privacy settings of the gift.

By clicking "Send Gift", you completed the transaction.  Everyone starts with some gift credits in their account. You can purchase additional credits with a PayPal Account.

 

If you already have a PayPal account, then you can purchase credits by signing into your account on the Ning Network.  Click on Settings on the right hand side of the Main Page and scroll to the bottom until you see the Account Balance section.  The Account Balance section shows the number of credits currently available and a link to "Buy Credits".

 

The credit balance will show at the bottom of the page below the message box, in the Gift Store. Each gift costs 75 credits and credits can be bought in 100 credit increments.

If you DO NOT have a paypal account:

• Head over to the PayPal website to get started
• Look to the Sign In box on the left hand side of the page and click the "Sign Up" link
• Use the drop-down box on the next page to enter your Country or Region and your Language, then click the "Get Started" button under "Personal"
• Fill in all of the information fields you see on the form before clicking "Agree and Create Account"

who does a free gift work? i sent the gift free and i got a message about pay pal. does one have to keep paying to build credit? is that the only way?

Does any of the money from book sales or gifts go to the National MS Society?

a percentage of our online boutique sales is donated to the national ms society every year so as long as you buy the book or products from us, they get a cut. If you buy off amazon or at other retailers the MS Society does not get a percentage, just fyi.
