We are enjoying the flowers that are blooming, the trees are green again. It is the season of hope and renewal. It is the perfect time to honor the Women in Our Lives.
Women are the natural nurturers of the world. They encompass all that is good, loving, empathetic, and understanding. Yet at the same time they are capable, intelligent, powerful and strong. Throughout history we have examples of outstanding women that have made changes in the lives of all those they have touched. They left footprints in the pages of history.
This month let’s turn our eyes to the women in our lives that left footprints on our hearts. It is time to honor the Mothers, Grandmothers, Daughter, Sisters, Aunts, Cousins, Teachers and Friends. These women are regarded not only as a crucial part of the home, but as a builder of nations. They are considered worthy of great honor, appreciation and respect. Make the effort to tell these special ladies how important they are to you. Give them a call or mail a letter or card to them. Share the history of these women with your family and friends. There is no list of suggestions this time; it is your time to share your ideas with us. Comment here and share about the honored women in your life and how you will remember them this month.
Be sure to join us in our May Event, a Flower Give.

Permalink Reply by Elly Rose Tech Support on April 23, 2012 at 8:49pm I am writing the story of my Grandmother Olive for my grandchildren to read. She was a pioneer and a rebel of sorts. She wore MEN TROUSERS to go fishing. She flew in an early airplane with canvas wings. She is my hero. On her birthday in May I am going to plant a rose in her honor. She would have been know as a master gardener these day. She left footprints in my heart.
That will be a beautiful story. She sounds like a wonderful woman....
Such a wonderful memory to share with the new branches of her family tree!
I mailed two letters yesterday. One to Juli and another to my MIL... Gifts for both of us....
Permalink Reply by Elly Rose Tech Support on April 25, 2012 at 9:48am I know that those letters will be cherished by both ladies
I have made ammends with my best friends Mom and forgiven her. She is facing cancer and needed support and I have given that and more and gained so much from giving it....
Honorable and good for your heart as well as hers.
I'd like to honor my 1st sponsor, who showed me how to "grow up" and be a person who lives life on life's terms. As a recovering drug addict with 20 years of teaching other women how to do the same, she has started quite the legacy that will live on thru the women who have been touched by her in the ripples of our lives.
That will be a cherished gift for both of you...
It is an honor, Elly Rose to be here with you. You have inspired me to find strength when I thought I would not make it. Thank you....
My mom is my hero, she raised my 2 younger brothers & myself all alone after my father left. She always worked a couple of jobs and we never went without anything and to this day she always rmembers ours birthday's wedding anniversaries and our children's birthdays & anniversaries and she is 78 years old! Taking her out for lunch and then to get her hair done, something she doesn't like to spend her money on. :-) Happy Mothers Day to all of the mom's out there, I am so blessed to have the one I do!
