NEW 29GIFTS POETRY CONTEST: Winners Announced
First Place: The first place prize ($50) goes to Jany for Absurd Divide
Second & Third Places: There was a tie with 26 words used, so the prizes ($25 each) go to Sharon for Rhyme and Reason and Sabriyah Fatimah for Global Child.
And we loved Mermaids Among Us so much that we've decided to award an extra $25 prize to Ashini

Sage
As the wild sage
Marched into the blazing sand
Jumping past blue striped lizards,
the Jewels of the desert,
Contained only by the kindling chunk,
the Sage, running through an absurdly chilly moonlight
on the desert floor,
Waiting for the call of the child,
Generous by nature,
even in the
bleakest, desert waste,
working towards its natural goal
Engendered, Imprinted in its
Soul
spawned by an egg
a cell
in which the words are written
Divide and Multiply!
