Hello ! I'm new to this terrific group. I am a fellow writer and wanted to encourage inspiredreams to follow her dream to write a book. I kept getting the message that there was a book in me that needed to be written. I ignored and pushed it aside for years. Then one day it became clear I could ignore it no longer so right then and there I started writing the book. My book is my heart and soul on paper and is one of my proudest accomplishments. I self-published it last year and I want folks to know how far technology has come and that print-on-demand self-publishing is a very viable option. Everyone has a story to tell and today it is easier then ever to get your story out there into the world.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this group. I am also looking forward to being a part of and sharing in some of the discussion as well. I have been writing in journals since the late '90's. I would love to write a book someday but just need to take that initial step of "getting started on it." Perhaps this group will help me gain the confidence to do so.

I'm looking forward to being a part of this group, reading stories and sharing some too. As we write down our bones, our hearts will open like singing flowers.

I have used the written word since a child with asthma and now with MS I have returned to be able to express myself. This should be an interesting and fun adventure.

Thanks for starting this group. I have known for a long time that writing is a natural part of my being. This site has definitely re-awakened within me the love of writing, of giving encouragement and being in the spirit of uplift. I look forward to being a part of a positive like-minded group of those who are writing and aspiring (like myself). I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope we can all be cheerful supporters of each other along our journeys. My Best to all of you! Sharon

Hey Paula:

I sabotaged myself all the time when I first started writing. Me, not my writing, was the one reason I didn't get published the first five years. I think it is what most writers do, the growing process. Read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. It is so helpful, also Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way.
