I just joined LA+ OC 29 gifts givers. I am interested in learning what options there are locally that I might not have thought of. Are there any members in the Glendale or Pasadena area? I would like to know of activities or opportunities in this area.

If you don't want to get email from this group, make sure you click the "STOP FOLLOWING" link. Sometimes people join groups and then start getting a lot of email from the group so they leave the group rather than just turn email off.

Oops - - its californiawomen.org and its anysoldier.com. I really messed up the addys below. Please write to the soldiers. Their morale is low. They would love to hear from you. Please check out the site. These are our fathers, brothers, sons, friends. Many are away from home for the first time. Thanks

Hi everyone. I just want to let you all know that I went to the Long Beach Women's Conference, and it was amazing. There were many causes to check out there, and you can log on to the website, californiawomen.com for more info on these groups. Also, my family adapted a marine troop of ten soldiers, in Iraq, that we found on anyservicemember.com., Pease check it out. Lets not forget everyone over there. They miss home so much. Read more on their website. It is very well run. Thanks, Karen

I'm very happy to have found this, especially since I feel I got guided here. The 29 Gifts just kept popping up everywhere I looked!

I just joined yesterday. I live in Hawaii and what to know how to meet up with others givers on Oahu.
Recently a homeless woman walked up to my car window at a light. I usually have single bills so I can hand them out. That day I needed gas so I put $$ where I usually keep my homeless $$. Out of habit when approached I gave what I had put aside. Immediatedy I realized what I had done. I had a good cry, for my getting so low on funds and for the woman who gave me the biggest smile when I drove away with my gas money in her waving hand. How did I end up with so little faith.
I have so much to give, the help I am looking for is to learn how to give, then trust I won't need what I gave.
I know I can give my love and I always get plenty of love back. Now it time to apply that to my things.
At this time I don't have money to give away but I always have love, time and things to give. That day I gave more than what I could afford but I was blessed many times over with thoughts of what I have and have had though out my lifetime. I want to be a blessing.
Thank you community of givers for changing the world for the better.

Thank you for this wonderful concept to GIVE and connect with others in our community. This is so inspiring.

I just joined today.
Cami, you inspired me over a month ago when you explained what you did..how you do it, and how truly simple giving can be. Everyday, I do something kind for total strangers, even when they cut me off on the freeway, curse at me for driving too slowly or bump into me as I am walking.
Keeping one's sense of humor and an open heart leads to more peace and to feeling grounded in the moment. Thank you for teaching me this.

Just joined today. I recently did an event for the National MS Society & found just the fund raising effort became a driving force in my life. Now, its over & I have to keep this going. What a great community this is.
