I guess the Bay Area group has fizzled out. I have not seen any movement since 2008. Too bad : (

Lisa--you might call a couple of elementary schools in your neighborhood to see if teachers might want the costumes, or a non-profit art center like red poppy art house (they do all kinds of art-related activities with kids in the mission, among other things). if that doesn't work, a notice on freecycle, perhaps stating that your first preference is to give the lot to a non-profit or school or teacher for his/her classroom. good luck! lili

A Good Idea SF meets every Tuesday evening on Haight St in San Francisco. If you're interested, just show up! There are details on my page. This week we'll be discussing some pages from Eckhart Tolle's book the Power of Now... even if you haven't read it, come anyway! You will be welcomed with open arms.

Love the PP donation idea!
A site I love is bookcrossing.com and bookmooch.com
Both have allowed me to give books away or share with booklovers literally from all over the world.

Just wanted to give a shout out to all the Bay Area givers. I hope to join you on the 12th, but because my brother and his boyfriend are getting married on Saturday, not sure I will be free. If not, hope to join you all next event, maybe in Oakland? Much love and joy to all. Lili

Hi all! Just joined the group and wanted to say hello to everyone. Sorry I missed you at Samovar - hope to make the next get-together!

Our first Bay Area 29Gifters Meetup at Samovar Tea. It was a small group, but big in heart.

Congrats on the new baby! Donating to those who need it is always a wonderful gift. Kudos for calling your father's mother. Most of the time, just knowing someone cares is the best comfort for greiving. Happy Friday to you!
