I qualify for many if not all twelve step programs. I am truly an addict so given the opportunitty - I can do almost everything to excess!

I'm a friend of Bill W., mostly because I am a friend of his wife Lois!! :)

All three of my daughters, and my husband, are grateful recovering members of AA.

We are a blessed family!

I had an epiphany the other day. The words Made a Decision To turn our will and our lives over to the care of God. So I make the decision over and over again but then I take it back over and over again. I am very stubborn and thick headed. So when I get sick and tired of being sick and tired I'll make a change. Thanks For Letting me share.

Welcome, I am a friend of Jimmy K by the way of Bill W. I have 18 years. The meeting I went ot tonight, sounded alot like this. I shared how I was really grateful to have found a higher power in the rooms, and developed a relationship where I know today, there is no challenge or Problem greater than my higher power, I do what I can and then turn it over when I can do no more, God will take care of it, when I give it to him, but I MUST do what I can first. If I keep taking it back after I give it to him, it gets messier. I have to leave it in his hands and get busy doing the next thing on my agenda-thus the next RIGHT THING. Keep working the steps, keep practicing the principles to the best of your ability, when we do the best we can, we deserve great rewards, and they will come. When we shirk responsibility, we cannot reap the rewards, cause our guilt and shame shut down the line of blessings, we know we do not deserve them. So, work the steps, clean house and trust God, more will be revealed...sharon

And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation - some fact of my life unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment. Nothing, absolutely nothing happens in God's world by mistake. Until I could accept my alcoholism, I could no stay sober; unless I accept life completely on life's terms, I cannot be happy. I need to concentrate not so much on what needs to be changed in the world as on what needs to be changed in me and my attitudes.
