i had never heard of a Confederate Rose until i moved to Texas. they bloom in September/October and have a most unusual flower - it starts out white and over a period of a day or two gradually turns to a dark pink. this isn't a very good picture but i thought y'all might be interested. can you see the little white buds among the pink? Hugs, Dawn

Love gardening. Whenever in need of reviving a plant, just spread in some of your reused tea leaves, or tabacco works to-american spirits. Once I poured some tabacco - american spirits brand down into the peter pan plant out back, some beautiful purple flowers grew! It was really neat. I'll have to try to take some pics next time it flourishes...

A GARDEN WITH A DIFFERENCE
Three rows of peas: Peace of mind;heart and soul.
Four rows of squash: Squash gossip;indifference;grumbling and selfishness
Four rows of lettuce: Let us be faithful;kind;patient and love one another.
A few turnips: Turn up for meetings;service and to help one another.
Thyme: Time for each other;family and friends.

Water freely with patience and cultivate with love.
There will be much fruit in your garden because you will reap what you sow.

Today I received in my mail, an envelope that was destroyed beyond recognition, filled with a wonderful gift.... I have no idea who sent it to me, nor do I have any idea how the contents survived! "Inside" (or shall I say, grouped with) this mangled mess of paper, was a package of tomato seeds. I have no clue who sent it to me, but I can only imagine it was someone in this group, so -- thank you whoever you are! (and if it wasn't one of you, I'm at a complete loss! lol!)
