Thank you everyone!

 

I just wanted to say thank all the people that sent an anniversary card to my parents for their 60^th wedding anniversary.  They are delighted with the outpouring of love from everyone and are amazed that so many people would take time out of their busy day to send them a card.  They are also flabbergasted that so many of the people they have received cards from, they haven’t ever met. 

 

So, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making their 60^th anniversary special.

 

If you didn’t get a chance to send a card but would still like to, please do.   I’ll have the post office box open for a while.

Last request for Anniversary cards for my parents.  

Hello!

I am honored to say that my parents, Tony & Jennie are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on January 3, 2013.   Since they don't really need "things", I wanted to shower them with love by throwing them an anniversary card shower.

I am asking everyone to send them anniversary wishes.  It could be a handmade card, a computer made card, a note card, a store bought card, a short letter or as simple as a postcard.  I'd like their mailbox overloaded with cards, well wishes & kind words to give them a big smile every time they check their mail.

I have opened a post office box just for this occasion.  If you send the cards to this address, I will forward your cards directly to them.  Thank you for taking the time to do this for them!

I will definitely send a card to your parents and to Frank Saunders.  As per M's request, I am also requested cards be sent to Frank Antelline a 92 year old veteran.  See details at  http://www.29gifts.org/profiles/blogs/fan-mail-for-frank  I learned when my dad had terminal cancer, just how much cards can mean.  Thank you for giving me this giving opportunity.

I also sent to family and friends, including soldiers in Afghanistan.  Hope he'll be getting cards all month.  Taking mine to the Post Office now.

A friend of mine sent this along to me and I thought that it was worthwhile to pass it along to you.  I am sending my card to him today.  I really hope that you all do the same.

Would you please send a birthday/thank you card to:

Irwin Saunders, who is a WWII Vet and will be turning 90 on June 13, 2011.

This is an excerpt from a letter from his son: 

'Irwin Saunders  is a WWII vet who was, and still is, very proud of his service to our country.  Originally from IL, and lived here until retirement.

He will be 90 on June 13, 2011, and we would love to have him receive 90 birthday cards for his birthday because he is one of that Great Generation, and we all owe that generation a big thank you and God bless you.

Even though you might not know him, you can be proud of the kind of proud American he has been for helping make this country great.  

Thank you to everyone who helps brighten his day'.
