29-Day Giving Challenge

Hi all I thought we could post ideas for giving Anonymously here.
If you have an idea or come across an idea on this site please add it here.
If you get the idea from a blog, please add a link to the blog so we can see how the give was done.

This is a great idea i found from my friend Kirsten, she made "Boo bags" to give to friends and neighbors. I love this idea you could do it for any hoilday and name it something different, how cool!

When I wanted to give flower bouquets from my garden, I would pay the neighbor boy a couple of dollars to deliver them for me. I would even have someone else write the sentiment on a card so my handwriting wouldn't be discovered.

Sometimes I would find out about a family in our church that needed help and I would put bags of groceries in their car during the service so no one would see. If the doors were locked I would just leave the bags close to their car where they could be discovered.

A lady from my church comes in to our store in the Spring and purchases ladies garden gloves, seeds and sometimes garden tools. I knew she was up to something so I pried it out of her...She anonymously puts these items in mailboxes in her neighborhood. So far after three years she has not been caught!

This is something that I do at work. If I go to a customer and I see they are battling and can't really afford it and need a part on their DSTV system I will fit a good second hand one. I then normally tell them it was just a bad connection. That way they do not know that the faulty part has been changed and they have saved the cost of the part.

I've bought coffee for the person in the drive through behind me a few times. I guess it's not totally anonymous, because they see my car, but usually I've driven away just as they reach the window.

Someone also said on this site that they bought scratch tickets and found the most beat up cars in the parking lot and put them on their windshield - I thought that was cool.

I think just leaving little surprises, like candy or something on a co-workers desk is always nice too.

I like to write cards that say things like:

"You have received the most beautiful yard of the neighborhood award!"

"You have received the most beautiful Christmas decorations of the neighborhood award!"

"You have received the most beautiful fall tree of the month award!"

"You have received the most beautiful flowers of the neighborhood award!"

"You have received the most wonderful yard of the month award!"

Then place them in the mailboxes at night...

This is a great idea! I see beautiful yards, trees, flowers, etc., just like you mentioned, and thought about sending a note, but this sneaky anonymous way would really work for a night owl like me!!!

What a great idea to give anonymously. I've done that and I found it very hard not to tell anyone about it. I guess you might say it was to keep the ego quiet. I still haven't told anyone. I like the card/award idea from Sharon and I think Alan is really giving. I think that some giving should be done totally anonymous without even mentioning it to anyone. I am going to give some of my art supplies to the 1st grade at the elementary school.

Here is a great idea from fellow giver nisipici. She left flowers in the lobby where she works and asked the receptionist to call her co-worker and tell her some flowers were there for her so she wouldn't know where it came from. check out her blog.

I think your gift was your willingness to receive from your family. It sounds to me like your giving is wearing off on them - how loveloy!

How exciting to get your medicine necklace! I keep looking at that as a give to myself as well. I send prayers your way for your family - I'm sure your support of them during their time of need is a perfect gift!

Harriet, this is beautiful. You are sharing your faith in God. I like that your love (as well as your daughter's love by her mission work) is being "sent around the world." As the crosses are sentimental to you, you must have received word from God…
