I added some of these ideas in our original post but thought it would be good to list them here as well.
Stand outside a store or mall and give away rolls of Scotch tape with a kindness sentiment attached.
Start at one end of a strip mall and go store to store and insist that your crew comes in and clean their bathrooms.
Cut strips of paper a little larger than the label on a bottle of water. Either print these on a computer or hand write a kindness sentiment and tape it to cold bottles of water. Load up some coolers and head out for a local baseball game or other event and give away free water. At concerts here in the summer a cold bottle of water that only cost 6for $1 at a dollar store sells for $3 or more.
Rent a booth at a craft fair and put up an awning or tent. Provide a place for mothers to stop and nurse or change their little ones. This is another place to give free water.
Sponsor a sandwich making night and assign each member of your group to bring sandwich fixings (no mayo, please) including sandwich bags. Take the sandwiches to a homeless shelter, hand them out in a park where you know homeless people might be. We did this at Lincoln Park in Chicago. Cold water is another great give along with sandwiches, especially when it's hot.
