~ Throw old coffee/tea grounds around acid loving shrubs like Rhododendron's & Azalea's.
~ Bury banana peals in with your roses. They love the Potassium.
~ Put (rinsed off) eggshells in a bucket for next year's tomatoes. They'll appreciate the calcium boost.
~ Fruit getting a bit mushy? Chipmunks & squirrels don't mind. Put it in a tree for the birds, too.
~ Shredded soy-ink newspapers can be composted. Worms actually love it!
~ Houseplant didn't make it? Give that nitrogen to your compost pile.
~ Animal hair, after a good brushing, might just keep a little critter from freezing this winter. Dryer lint is also appreciated.
Just a few. More to come. What's your tip?
