I am going to post an idea here.
There are several people and two quilting groups committed to making child size quilts for the So African kids of Operation Teddy Bear Care. Is any of the ATL group interested in participating or donating money to ship them over? It is going to be winter over there soon, and some of the children have only newspaper to sleep under for warmth. Anyone know if we can ship over donated items at a discount with an airline or delivery company? Quilts are heavy and it cost about $50.00 for every 5 pounds to South Africa, as I have sent over several packages already. I have my church donating the first $200.00 for shipping. Please let me know if you have any ideas or want to discuss this over coffee.
