29-Day Giving Challenge

Remember the days when we were in school and everyone would bring in valentines for each other and you would decorate a box or bag to put them in. well i thought it would be fun to have a virtual valentine box and send valentine greetings on this website. you can post on fellow Holiday Cheer Members pages or send them a note in there inbox.
it will start on the 9th of February and go till the 14th.
I also thought it would be fun to post some Valentine wishes here on this discussion if you want to.
here are a few wishes of mine
1. to give and receive lots of valentines!
2. To spread love everywhere i go
3. For everyone reading this to leave love notes for those they care about and stick it some place for them to find it as a surprise!

Hi folks... anyone who is going to commit to leave loving messages for people on or around valentie's day, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do so for our new givers. We're trying to find ways to get people more engaged in the community and I think receiving lots of love from people here helps! The newest members are on the latest member page, as you go back through the pages, the memberships get older. Not sure if that makes sense. Please ask if you have questions. You can now find the member page as a rollover link under community... or just click here.

Valentines Day has never been very special in South Africa. For some unknown reason it sort of passed us by. The first Valentine message sent to my family was my Mother sending Valentine Cards to her grandchildren. This cause great excitement especially among my three sons who never had a clue where these cards had come from. And so the action grew. Today Valentine's Day has great commercial attraction, nevertheless some very meaningful messages began passing around. I would love to receive a Valentine message so count me in.e

I LOVE Valentine's Day because I always used to make valentines for everyone at school. I found some heart-shaped pasta at World Market, so bought some for each of my library staff. The message of love should be something we celebrate every day, like chocolate or ice cream. Love is something that comes back to you every time you give it. (Not always from the same person, however, I've discovered.)

I wish you all many happy moments this week! It's so wonderful to belong to a community of givers, and I think Valentine's Day is such a great time to give and receive blessings.

I really do miss those days. We would try to make sure that everyone was included and it became a day of peace and acceptance of the whole class. I think I will silently put a note on the board in all my classes with a big heart that says "I love you all" and sign it.

Gabrielle, I am a high school teacher and my experience is that there are very few 17 year old girls out there that are as wise and mature as you. I wish I had the insight you have when I was your age --shoot, when I was 27! It takes most women so l…

Well, I lost track of where I was in round two, which is to say, I wasn't doing a very good job of self-care! I recently had a reading with Mbali. I was very frazzled going into it. Had a lot going on in several directions. Then the house phone sta…
