Abby,
I am praying for your little kitty and all of the other challenges you are going thru at the yime!
God knows our hearts and what we need, but cannot give it to us until we surrender to him completely.
When you said you had all but given up, that is the sign you are thru forcing your desires, and now that you turned it over to him, I know all will work out in divine order.
Keep the faith, let your heart and mind be on him.

Sometimes the path seems dark, but have faith, we can do together what I can not do alone. There is a light and we are it!

Hi Abby, Being retrenched can be an awful experience. It leaves one feeling quite lost and forsaken. Having been there myself I can relate to this shock. Even though we expect it, somehow or other we always seem to hope it won't happen. Don't lose heart, take your time, look at your options. You will be amazed at the number of doors that are waiting for you to go through.A whole new world is opening up for you. Keep us posted.

Am the New Year

I am unused, unspotted, without blemish

I stretch before you three hundred sixty-five days long.

I will present each day in its turn, a new leaf in the Book of Life for you to place upon it your imprint.

It remains for you to make me what you will: if you write with firm, steady strokes, my pages will be a joy to look upon when the Next Year comes.

If the pen falters, if uncertainty, doubt or sin mars the page, it will become a day to remember with pain.
I am the New Year.

During each hour… Continue

Days 3 to 16

It's amazing how quickly time goes by. At the beginning of the challenge 29 days felt like quite a large number - could I do it? What if I couldn't? Yet - 17 days on and I am still here and still at it. And so everyday, I have given somenting no matter how small and insignificant; I did it anyway, although keeping track of it was not easy - especially if you don't make a note of it everyday. Below, I have added a brief list of the goings on....
Day 3 - money to someone
Day 4 - money to someone

Days 1, 2 & 3

Well, I'm on my thrid day and so far its been quite liberating. Day one I gave a woman money, who didn't have any change - just to make her life easier. Day 2 voluteered to complete a miniature cross stitch carpet for a lady from the embroidery guild, as she is having vision problems. This will be like giving something to her everyday, it is not really miniature but double-whammy - I get to do something that I love and help someone else. Day 3...well I'm still on day 3 and awaiting an opportunit… Continue
