As I noted in my Day 28 blog, I decided to go out with a bang. I spent yesterday smiling at everyone I met. I have to admit, there were fewer people as the day went on, so it lost some of its excitement factor. Still, I think it even made a difference to my kids to have me smile as much as I could when I looked at them, too.
Today was Day 29, and my plan for the final day was to say something nice to everyone I met ... and then I ended up being home for far more of the day…Continue
Yesterday (Day 27), my husband came home nearly an hour late. This isn't hugely unusual, but it is usually frustrating for me -- especially because the kids get upset when they're not expecting it. My daughter A LOVES this place, but we haven't gone much because I've been convinced that my son would destroy the place by emptying out every single bin. Well, it's been months since we were there last -- and I guess my son T has grown up a lot. The trip was supposed to be a gift for A, and I figured it would involve a lot of cajoling T into good (or at…Continue
