Thinking ahead

Hi and good morning. It is 7.25am here in the UK,freezing cold and the car needs scraping and de-icing. I am preparing to get my girls to school and myself to work. I was just thinking about what I can do today. Giving is like fresh new breath every day. I know that someone (or many) are going to feel better today because of what I will actively do. This in turn makes the prospect of today seem even brighter. Was just thinking about the ever- smiling Lollipop lady that stops traffic and lets the… Continue

Helping in the supermarket

This evening I was in the supermarket getting some last minute bits for the evening meal. I overheard a young lady with a baby trying to find where she could locate some bedsheets for a double bed. I had seen them further down the aisle and at first I walked past her and said nothing. I then realised how helpful it might be to assist her in her search. I walked back and told her where she could find them and she thanked me for my help. I then overheard her say that they only had kingsize or sing… Continue

Opening our minds

I read in a book today that according to scientists the average person (and that means most of us) only uses 10% of our brain capacity! Whilst I did kind of vaguely know this somehow today it hit a chord. The year is coming to an end and we have the prospect of a new year looming ahead. I have decided today to consciously broaden my horizons and therefore expand the use the of my brain. I am giving myself a gift today and I am sharing it with anyone who reads my blog too. I am going to do some o… Continue

A word of encouragement

This morning I gave a word of encouragement to my husband. He is thinking of changing his career and it will involve a return to studying. He is really tossing the idea around and we have been discussing the different options and impacts. I told him that I am in support regardless of what options he picks. I encouraged him that any change is going to take a period of adjustment and that he should press on and make the changes. A good start to the day because as you speak positively you feel posi… Continue

Biblical Principles

You know why I love this website its because the principle of giving has a spiritual connection. You can freely give of yourself and of your possessions and actually be totally blessed yourself. We can focus on the external and know that our internal needs are being met. Awesome.
Yesterday I gave some champagne and some hand made chocs to a special lady that I know very rarely gets pampered. She was overwhelmed. But I felt totally blessed as I know that over this very busy season she will have t… Continue

We did a "give" in Atlanta a few months ago and gave away 100 roses on a sidewalk, it was 9 members from the metro ATL area, we started a "local" group, and you can start or join one too!
Make friends, read blogs, write blogs and leave other folks comments! Post pics and videos, join inner groups and GIVE! Have fun and watch for miracles to happen in your life when you do 29 in 29! Hope to see you around in the site!
