I have had a busy week, and as a teacher sometimes you have to do all you can to just have the energy to do another day. My husband and I went to bed at 8:30 last night we have been so busy. Today I gave something almost without thinking. My husband woke up to his alarm this morning, and turned over and said "Honey, would it be okay if I called in sick today, I need some time off." And I said yes, and I meant it.

Today is my birthday, and I have been barraged will well wishes. It's been wonderful. No physical gifts, but lots of word gifts, and sometimes those are the best kind. I didn't do anything special today my first day of giving, instead I gave a little bit extra- well a lot extra. I am a teacher and often times teachers can burn out on giving all day.
