- I retired two years ago and am enjoying a variety of activities. Travel is my most favorite pasttime and reading and preparing for the trip is wonderful. I am a "foodie"...interested in cookbooks, cooking magazines and kitchen stories.

Hi Artie, Love the play on your name. I want to welcome you to this wonderful site and help a little on finding your way around. Starting with the Home page there are lots of things to read, contests to enter, ideas on giving, chat room, and also some downloads which are really helpful. Then there are many groups with in the site to look at and decide if you want to join or not. Always your choice. I also had a love for cooking. I always got Taste of Home, cooking for 1 or 2, Quick meals, can't remember the other one. I even had some published and then received I think 3 or there large cookbooks that had the whole years recipes in them. Now that I am alone and on full disability I don't do a lot of cooking. Maybe I will try it again here sometime. Anyway welcome to the site and I hope you will come to me if you have any problems or questions and I will do my best to help and if I can't will try and find someone who can. I hope you are blessed by your many gifts and end up staying longer then the 29 days. God Bless deb
