Another great quote! Thanks, Sharon. Here's one from my "Courage" book: "We become more adept at rising to the occasion each time we see ourselves doing it. Every time we cope well with whatever real life throws our way, it's another deposit of c...

Your quote reminds me of a part of Shakespeare that I had to memorize: "The good that a man does lives after him; the bad dies and is interred in his bones." (It's been awhile, so forgive me if this isn't quite it.)

O.K., Sharon that is very profound. Here is one in my "courage" book. People are like tea bags. You find out how strong they are when you put them in hot water. ----Anonymous

Hi Cami, I just emailed my Congressman with this link. I have a cousin who has MS, and also an uncle. Hopefully this will have an impact. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Barbara

Here is a quote from a book I found in the donated book box titled "The Language of Courage and Inner Strength". We need the courage to start and continue what we should do, and courage to stop what we shouldn't do. ---- Richard Evans

A Giving Heart

One of you said that this giving challenge would expand my life. Well, I think more than anything, it has made me conscious of how I relate to others. I have always considered myself compassionate, but this challenge has made me aware of my little actions that were not. It has opened my heart to others in a way that I had not realized before. Giving things has always been easy for me. But giving a hug or kiss or compliment goes a lot further sometimes.

Last Day of Giving

I have completed my 29 days of giving challenge and feel like I've accomplished a great deal. The posts have been simply amazing! You all are such generous givers and have such great ideas for gifts!

One Christmas gift I gave to my boss was a book "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson. I've been thinking of what I'd like to leave as a legacy. Hi, Barbara. Tonight i'm wondering how people are getting on. It would be great to hear how things are with you, how the challenge worked out and if it's brought changes in your life. May you be blessed with love and happiness.

My grandchildren are so precious! I just wish I lived closer to them, since they live in Virginia and I live in Florida. I'm still hanging on for round two! Tomorrow I'll give away some t-shirts for our Big Read campaign. We're reading "Fahrenheit 451" as a community. I haven't planned my "give" for today yet, but will have many opportunities.
