Why I'm choosing to give:
I am choosing to give because I want to make the world a better place. Because of that wonderful feeling I get when I know I brought that smile to their face. Because its the little things that mean the most. Because giving makes EVERYTHING better.
What I'd most like to receive:
I would most like to receive spiritual and mental help for my mother and father at this time. My father has been undergoing treatment in preparation for a lung transplant. After being on cloud nine because he was on the list, we were told it had to come to a halt as my father had thyroid cancer. He had surgery and everything has come back fine, but it means he may not get the transplant. There is still a 1% chance it will happen. Keeping my parents positive is one of the best ways to help make the 1% chance come through.

*** 8/26/2008 Update: My father will not be able to receive the transplant for at least 3-5 years due to federal regulations on cancer and transplants. He is doing well right now and looks great, although he is on oxygen most of the time, but he is working out three days a week and walking a mile each time. I know he will be okay. :) Thank you for your prayers and thoughts.

New Year, New Beginning

2008 is finally over. Thank goodness because I am ready for a fresh start. This year will be a great year, I plan to make sure it will be by eating and living healthier. I had many difficulties this past year with being sick, tired, and constantly sore and finally found out that I have fibromyalgia. I am so darn happy to finally know what is wrong with me and that I can make myself feel better by changing my life. This makes me so excited. YAY!

I was home for Christmas, celebrated Hannakah with… Continue

Looking Back on 2008...

I have to start off by saying that 2008 has by far been the most difficult year I have ever faced in my life. I never imagined it was possible for so many things to fall apart at once. This has been very difficult for me because I am not someone who like to have things out of my control and my family is my life. I thought that the dog attack in the first of year was just a stroke of bad luck, but it seemed to be just the beginning. Between starting a business in the middle of a recession, having… Continue

Thanksgiving Time

So, Thanksgiving has come and gone and I had the excitement of seeing my parents who came to visit us for a week. My Father looks amazing and I have not seen him so healthy in as long as I can remember. While visiting I was thrilled to hear about their trip back east to Tennessee to visit my brother (they drove!). While there my father and my brother had the much needed and long time coming opportunity to bond with one another. My dad has even began looking into alternate options for his lungs,… Continue

Updates...

Although I have not been posting, I have still made it a daily habit of giving. I have been through a lot this year with my family, business, finances, and it has been very stressful. Trying to cope with everything can be a bit like fighting a war sometimes and can tear you apart at times. I have been doing my best to fight this war and have been helping others to learn to fight theirs as well.

My mother is doing so wonderful after now going through a few months of group therapy and counseling.… Continue

Day 5 I Think, I have been a little MIA

So things have been crazy as usual. But this time it is a good crazy. Very busy, getting a lot of work and things seem to be picking up. I am so excited because today I found out that one of my most favorite candidates from a recent search who has become my friend got her wish and began working for a great company, with great leaders and launched her own marketing firm- GO CHELSEA!!. I am so happy for her and feel so blessed to know such a great young woman, she is definitely someone to know.

Day 1: Today I think I may have gotten my niece her 1st paid photography job. She is so talented, but does not see it so hopefully this will open her eyes up to the talent she has. I saw that LWL was looking for a photographer at the upcoming LIVE convention. So I asked if they would consider hiring her, it looks like it may just happen. Lets keep our fingers crossed. :)
