Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
Was given a medicine bundle by a friend and shamanic mentor; I do this in honor of his teachings.
What I'd most like to receive:
$1000 to help take a healing trip to Mexico. I have a rare eye disease in which I can go blind 3 different ways. I also have Multiple Sclerosis (unrelated to the eye disease). I recently had an MS exacerbation, in addition to new lesions on the brain, I now have MS in my left eye. So now I have 4 ways to become blind. This healing trip with a shaman would help me to fight these very difficult diseases.

Day 6 (Round 2)

A friend had an itchy back; so I scratched it.

I gave my producer a hard time; later, this proved to be a good thing, especially when she informed me actors don't need to memorize their lines for The Vagina Monologues. Then we realized I was missing a vital bit of information for the script. So we got to rehash the production, and now it's much simpler much to our relief.

Then I was able to entice the one kitty that refuses to come inside-- to come inside. I even got to give her a cuddle. She'… Continue

Day 5 (Round 2)

I gave a friend a razzing.

I helped my mother fold three loads of her laundry that I washed.

The first was more fun. :D

Day 1 - 4 (Round 2)

For me, Thanksgiving was the start of round two. We were going to eat out. Then I started to get the suspicion that my neighbor wasn't getting a family meal. I cooked, my mother helped. We played cards. It was a real treat to make something with her.

My neighbor came over; he'd already eaten. (so much food in our fridge!) But the visit gave him an excuse to talk about issues on his mind. Very weighty ones. So offering support turned out to be more valuable than a meal.

Day 2: was my brother's… Continue

Day 29 - A smile and a dollar

Turns out I ended this cycle of giving in a simple way. I saw a Salvation Army volunteer sitting outside a supermarket, looking absolutely fagged with a drawn face. I caught her eye and grinned. Her face lit up.

Later, I tipped the Walmart employee who helped me bring purchases to the car. It was only a dollar, but he gladly put it in his pocket.

Turns out simple gifts are also a good way to end this challenge.

Cassandra, I am enjoying being in touch and I was honoured by your request that I join your friendship list. I have thought long and hard about friendship requests and I have realised that I am more comfortable being in touch through the general pages of the forum. My sincere thanks to you for thinking of me and I'll stay in touch with you. May 29Gifts continue to bring abundance into your life.

I do understand, Cassandra. Just know that the invitation stands for when it's the right time for you. Do you happen to live near the MA /CT border by rte seven? If so, maybe we can meet sometime......

I hope you get some rest and peace......

Your message about your friends is such a gift to me, as well as the ribbon gift. I've been forcing myself to write, yet the response from you and others continues to fill my heart. I have a Tibetan singing bowl also. I have been meaning to bring it to share with my Mom. It seems that I've forgotten how to make it sing...

Thanks so very much..... and give your sweet newfie a cuddle for me too....
This has already been a life-changing experience....
