- Why I'm choosing to give:
- I was inspired by Cami's book. I've stepped away from my job to puruse my dreams and start a new business venture. Part of me is terrified that I've taken this risky path that may be a financial mistake for my family. I realize that fear can be debilitating, and the best way to overcome your fears or self-absorbed thoughts is to focus on others. I want to help other people achieve their dreams.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- Support for my business. Advice from others who have taken the same journey. Help with a website and blog. Introductions to people/ businesses who may need my services.

Day 2 and 3

On my second day of giving, I volunteered to play taxi for my nephew's birthday party, driving half of the crew to the movies. It was such a great day with all of the kids! For my third day of giving, I reached out to someone I knew from High School who has been out of work. She hasn't been working for the last 18 months. Since I used to work in HR and recruiting, I offered my services to find her a job.
My First Day - Giving in an Unexpected Area

I found it difficult to decide what to give on my first day. There seems to be such a need everywhere I look! In honor of my mother-in-law, I chose to give in an area that I never typically would. My mother-in-law is a huge dog-lover. While my heart is often drawn towards causes that support people, especially children or those with health challenges, she always chooses animal causes.
