- About me:
- i am a 49 YO female who lives in East TX. i have three children, two stepchildren, and nine grandchildren altogether. in a couple of months i will be a "great grandma" believe it or not! i am an avid reader and i love to make quilts.
i envision a world where people will reach out to each other instead of building walls. i believe that the world is moving rapidly towards that ideal and i want to do my part. one person at a time, it will happen.

A Snow Day

today is the day our weekly county newspaper comes out. i was perusing it and saw that they were having a "grocery drive" this month. they printed a list of stuff - 4 packages of cornbread mix, 4 cans of vegetables, one dessert mix, one can of pumpkin, one can of evaporated milk, two cans of yams, etc. you buy it and bring it in to the newspaper office and Caring is Sharing (our local social outreach program) takes your stuff, adds a turkey and a few other things, and delivers it to needy famili… Continue

Paying the Piper
today's give was to pay my son James's last insurance payment on his motorcycle. he's finally got a job and i didn't want him to have to worry about getting a ticket at this stage of the game, that would really set him back. i'll have to call him tomorrow and let him know it's taken care of - he doesn't know it yet LOL.

starting a new round
today is the start of another round for me. i want to be more mindful than i have been the last few rounds. i think that is really the point and i have not been doing so well at that lately...

- I sometimes feel like I live in my car (suv). I have had to leave the house to get my clothes out of it. We live at the beach in the summer but since I work and commute to Philly - I spend most of my time in the Car! Lucky for me -- I love my car.
