Denise, I pray peace for your sister, the family and you. Praying you through. God will not leave you. Perhaps you all have the courage to pray together out loud.

I second this. This woman is amazing. Her CD's have helped many, many people dealing with different issues. I find her choice of words and the sound of her voice perfect for someone who needs guided imagery and affirmations.

I love all the wonderful responses you have received to your question. I can't resist adding my two cents. A couple of simple ideas to try: 1. Find or make 5 to 15 minutes once or twice per day. With "three children and a partner" and all the rest…

Do take care of yourself. Let the giving come naturally, don't force it. I do know that when I am feeling "bad" I feel better when I give to someone. It helps me to feel happy bringing someone else some happy.

Hi, I think a great meditation practice would be to practice subtle action. Deepak Chopra wrote an article on Oprah.com, and basically you quiet yourself within, probably by focusing on each single breath, without straining yourself, trying to relax…

Starting over :)

I made it with a breeze through day 14, forgot to blog, and since then have not been practicing. But since I plan to do endless cycles the rest of my life, a new start is not a bad thing or a defeat for me.

I learned Wed (could it really only be 2 days ago) that my sister with cancer only had two weeks to live. We were hoping for 1-2 years.

I hopped on a plane on Thursday and will now get to spend about 5 days here with our other sister. It is a gift to me to be able to spend this time with he… Continue

Day Thirteen!

In this process, I've found that my gifts are often self serving, in a good way! Giving with intent and focus reflects right back in my heart.

Yesterday, my gift was simply to treat someone who often irritates me with kindness and attention and in a non-critical way. He didn't change, he still did all the things that have irritated me in the past - but I found I went through the day in peace and serenity! Lucky me.

My second gift yesterday was at Starbucks drive-through - I told the cashier I… Continue

Day twelve. In the morning I had a wee panic att… Continue
