Today I gave the gift of a cozy place to stay for a friend visiting from California. I picked up some of her favorite hand cream and had it waiting with little shampoo bottles, travel toothpaste, and soap in the bath room with a fancy towel when she arrived. I also picked up some of her favorite coffee and breakfast foods so she relax while I was working this morning. It was fun to do and she seemed to really appreciate it.

I don't know whether it is because I am actively looking for gifts to give, but people seem more friendly. Yesterday, while walking my dog, I looked up at the building as I was about to climb the stairs. My neighbor's little boy was in the window waving and said, "Hi!" in a very excited voice. He loves my dog, so I think I wasn't the reason for his excitement, but it made me feel great. The rest of the day people kept saying nice things. They liked my shoes, my bag, etc. I think I am often…
