Have a Great Day!!!

Since I signed up for the 29 day challenge I just say to everyone I encounter "Have a Great Day" and I give them a smile. They always say it back and also give me a smile, even those that start out with frown on their face.

It always feels great to get a smile from someone especially those who looks grumpy!!!

Easy To Give

I realized each day I am letting cars in, smiling, telling every cashiers to have a great day..... This shouldn't be a 29 day challenge it should just be a way of life.

It is much more rewarding than just writing a check. Which by the way I just wrote one for an Aids walk and and Autism walk. I always support my friend's causes . If you can't afford to give money then just do a little of above. It really feels good.

Check out this website - Greater Good Network

This site is all about giving and shopping. Why not shop and give to a worthy cause. I bought a necklace and bracelet and I gave 75 cups of food to hungry children.

Day 5

I hung out for the day with 2 of my daughters friends because their mom's had to go to work after our school had a bomb scare and they were evacuated. The girls are old enough to hang out alone but I thought they needed a parent with them after the crazy morning they had. I made them lunch and then we went shopping (girls love that) and went to Dunkin Donuts. I think they were fine by the end of the day. They needed to talk and feel safe.

Day 4

Sent a check to distant cousin who's husband has stage 4 cancer. They are trying unconventional methods and insurance doesn' t cover it. It was very hard for them to reach out to the family. Every little bit helps.

I also helped a women find a lost phone by offering to call it.

I agree, Eileen. That kind of giving is even more personally satisfying as well as more productive. The world needs more positive interaction and less negativity! It should be expected and commonplace but instead it comes as a shock when we're nice to someone.

Eileen,
Yes, you are very giving and this is a reminder to show and share with others that if we all give, what a much better place the world would be! Little things, even one thing can cause change!

Mbali, this is such a pertinent post for me right now. I'm struggling with forgiveness and resentments I hold against someone right now. I know, rationally, that it is hurting me far more than it will ever hurt her... I can't let go yet. I'm working…
