I'm reading this token of a book by Dr. Wayne Dyer, Everday Wisdom for Success. I love this quote, "Regardless of your current station in life, you have a spiritual contract to make joy your constant companion. Know that you don't have to live a life filled with less-than-joyful activities." Wow. :)

Today after work, I met up with some friends for a quick bite to eat. I had to leave early and totally forgot to pay for my food! I didn't realize what I did until a couple of hours later. I felt so embarrassed. My friends were so kind about it and picked up my tab. That was a great gift. They rock.

Today I had a very honest conversation with myself. I am so gratefeul for that still, small voice of sanity that I like to call, Jesus. Feelings of anger and frustration prompted that beautiful voice within me to speak peace to my heart as he instructed me to take a drive to Starbucks.

Giving money is becoming easier for me- surprisingly easy. Giving unconditional love is not so easy. To give love and not expect a smidge of love or approval in return is like taking care of an ungrateful pet.

I suppose that to give love with stipulations isn't love- it's coercion. I want to love abundantly and freely, without strings attached.
