I just finished reading 29 Gifts, and it is absolutely great! If you haven't done so yet, I would encourage all of you to pick up a copy. I thought I knew all about Cami's story, but not so. I learned so much more about Cami's path to the 29 day g...

More than a "pretty good" review, I would say. She wrapped up her review by saying 29 Gifts "is a fantastic book".

Why I'm choosing to give:
A friend gave me a book yesterday that said, "... One new perception, one fresh thought, one act of surrender, one change of heart, one leap of faith, can change your life forever." The book was a gift with words I needed to hear. Maybe I can give something to someone in the next 29 days that will be just as meaningful to them.
About me:
I am a spiritual artist and I paint mandalas. My husband and I recently relocated from San Francisco to Santa Fe, NM. Over the years I managed a contract furnishings showroom, worked in an art gallery, ran the events program at a winery in the Santa Cruz mountains, did acting and voice over, did some modeling, am collaborating with a friend on a spiritual book. But most importantly, I've been on a spiritual quest since I was 7.

My 29Days Breakthrough - Update

Several months ago while participating in the 29 Day Giving Challenge, I posted a blog about my commitment to donate a mandala painting to a local women's health clinic. I am happy to say that the mandala has been completed and is now mounted on the ceiling above the very exam table where I first imagined a mandala to be. I took it in to the clinic a couple of weeks ago and the doctors and nurses loved it. One do… Continue

My 29Days Breakthrough

Over the 29 days of giving, I would reflect at the end of each day as to what I had given. It was not always easy because many days I wouldn’t even leave the house, but I found that I could always find something I gave – even the smallest thing from spending time brushing our cat, Tucker, to making sure the birds in our backyard always had food and water.

I started to realize the gift of giving was as much a gift to me as it was to whomever I gave to. I began to experience a feeling of expansio… Continue

Hello- I thought this was nice for everyone regardless of religion or beliefs. Have a peaceful, beautiful day of the spirit.

A holiday affirmation:

I embrace the holiday season with joy and an open heart. I look at this time of year through the eyes of a child full of excitement. I gift others with kindness and a sincere smile. I feel at peace and view my life as the miracle that it is.

I found this on one of my many sites that a friend had posted on my wall. This one has a lot of significant viewpoints to me.I would love to see some of your Mandalas.Do you also do the moving ones?

MANdala

This mandala is titled MANdala, and represents the innate spirituality of mankind. It was done entirely using Adobe(tm) Photoshop, and two separate pictures layered into the image. The glowing center of the mandala indicates the light of the Absolute, the Unmanifest, that from which all things spring, Ground of Being. Mankind emanates from the center, and toward the top of the mandala the chakras of the subtle body are indicated as glowing lights. The reddish lights along the border indicate the innate connectedness of all mankind. My personal philosophy is that of Advaita, or non dualism, but it isn't really a philosophy -- I understand it directly as a reality. My website is at http://coresite.cjb.net and is not a mandala site, but a site relating to non dualism in its various forms, and is dedicated to diversity of spiritual viewpoints.
