Yesterday, two acquaintances, that I met unexpectedly while voting and shopping, got big hugs and compliments on how they looked. Today I picked up my neighbor to go to the weavers' pot luck. As it was winding down, I made up a plate of small bits of interesting dishes to take to my friend in the hospital. My neighbor and I both visited her and both she and her visiting daughter got to have tastes from our potluck.

It was relatively late when I joined yesterday so my first gift was pretty small. After dinner I found some hidden chocolates and took out one for me and two for my husband, (usually I insist on equal shares to start out). Some were heart shaped and some were square. I sat beside him and said " here, I give you my heart, .... and my square."
