What brings me here? I'll ponder that question all day. Really. It's a biggie when you think about it. Purpose. Still not sure of mine yet.

About me:
I've been told I indulge my inner child far too often. Not sure, but that strikes me as a good thing.

I am mom to one amazing son who is now 22 and recently married to a beautiful lady whom I adore. I had him young so it's been fun growing up with him. (They asked me to officiate- what a mind trip and an honor for me!)

My husband is a saint who has patiently stood beside me as I have dealt with the very abusive marriage I came out of a few years before I met him. He's been a source of strength through addiction as well. I don't know if it's his depths of experience having 14 years on me or what but he's amazing!

Now that many fields have been cleared of rocks and briars it seems more intersting stuff just keeps coming my way.

I practice various forms of bodywork and recently worked with a band while they were on tour. Since I am the eternal rock and roll fan that's the venue and circumstance in which I like to work. I like the pace and the energy.

I write and have had some poems published and one novel. I spent several years studying with an Apache Medicine Man until his passing. While I've never hung out a shingle for any of the modalities I practice I do like to let it guide me, and work with myself, and whoever comes my way.

I spend a lot of time on the road.

Energy Work For Free

Inspired by another giver- I'd like to offer some distance Reiki free of charge. I can offer one free session a day. Please send a message and I'll be happy to get in touch with you to discuss any particular issues you might have.

Blessings and gratitude,
Frankie

A little might help...

Made a loan to Kiva today. Gosh, how many times could I have used something like that when I was raising my son? I had so many great ideas for a business and no capital and no way to gather any. I'm so glad an organization like that exists now.

It's been a good day. Suprised someone with lunch. Am right now burning some cd's for someone to make an annonymous gift of them.

What have I received? Grace.

Days Three and Four

Yesterday was strange.

We thought my daughter-in-law was missing. It didn't look good. Even the police said as much based on suspicious credit card charges and the fact that she was with a friend who has an abusive husband.

After searching the police located her in W. Va. She had planned to go there withher friend to see another friend but never showed up at her destination. Hence all the worry.

In the end it was a misunderstanding regarding communication and the driver getting lost. All was… Continue

Still Working It Out

Today- sad segment on CBS Sunday Morning about a meddling mom. I've long since forgiven her but recently reconnected to the man in question. I was 17 and he was 23. That was 26 years ago when I was a wild child following a performance group and eventually they took me with them. She did her best to run him off once the tour ended and she did. He never married and I went off the deep end until about 8 years ago.

I know it was her way of loving me. I have a child. I understand how sometimes mothe… Continue

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

Mary

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.
