Give: I do it a lot, but I count it as a gift! doing the gift of laundry for the family!

Receive: Went to a movie with daughter and friend!

Give: I had made a homemade give of coasters(made with bathroom tiles, mod podge, a picture and scrapbook paper)  at Christmas for a friend of mine. I had never delivered them. So, yesterday I delivered them to her front door and called it "A winter present!"

Receive: Went to bed early enough so I could enjoy some reading time before falling asleep ( wonderful receive for me)

Give: asked a friend out for dinner- to a local independent cafe

Receive; a wonderful meal of spicy white bean chili and salad with cranberries, feta, and pecans plus a real heartwarming conversation

Gives:

I have a friend who is going to the doctor tomorrow because she isn't feeling well. I am sending her a handwritten note.

I text a coworker/friend who stayed home with the flu, sending her positive thoughts to get well soon!

I found 3 books in our local used bookstore- one for my mother's birthday in March, one for a coworker who is getting a new job, and one for my daughter : )  -- A great bargain--3 hardback books for $1 each and they look brand…

Give: Ordered Girl Scout cookies from 2 different friends.  There is an option to not get the cookies for yourself, but to send them to the troops. I would much rather do that, so I did. : )

Receive: I didn't have to stand in line like usual at the pharmacy. It was a great receive and gave me extra time to run another errand.
