- Why I'm choosing to give:
- About 6 years ago my husband and I bought our first house. It was during the time when the housing market was booming and bad loans were given out. We got into one of those loans and it feels like we never recovered. We got a modification, but I ended up quiting my job to stay home and left the burden of our expenses up to my husband. It's been hard on him and us a bit but we are working through it. Since we've bought our home it seems like not much has gone right for us, with the exception of our babies. A lot of things have happened in the last couple of years and I have found myself a little down. My father died almost a year ago. I was in the hospital having my son, so I was unable to go visit before his passing. We didn't have much of a relationship, but we were trying to rebuild. I haven't been able to forgive myself for not calling him or being able to see him. After having my son I had some other medical issues and now don't feel confident to run, somtheing I have always loved to do to relieve stress and help to let go of things. I feel like I need to give right now to take all my thoughts of what has happened and put my energy into others.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I only want my focus to be off of me, and to see what possibilities come out of this.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
- I can't honestly remember. I read a lot of books and I think Cami's spritual friend was in one of them.
- About me:
- I am a wife and mother of two beautiful babies. My oldest is my daughter who is 6 and I have a 1 year old son. I have the wonderful opportunity to stay home with them and be a full-time mother. I love doing yoga, but to be honest don't do it as much as I should. I used to be a runner, but was diagnosed with a medical condition that made it a little scary to continue, so I do low impact excercises instead. I enjoy gardening and love to cook and bake.

It's my daughter's book fair today. Dropped her off at school and drove to the grocery and noticed her back of money for popcorn and books in the back seat. Although the book fair doesn't end until the 16th of the month I know how upset she probably is and drive back to the school and take the money into her class. She is elated of course. When I pick her up after school one of the other mother's let me know how upset she was and that she had felt awful for her and gave her some change…

Didn't really get out of the house today, but we did have a guy come by to service our vaccuum cleaner. I just got done making some oatmeal,cranberry, chocolate chip cookies today. Phillip the vaccuum guy spoke about his 6 year old son, so I packaged them up some cookies. He let me know his son would love them, apparently he's a cookie monster.

Once again just a day of play(with some chores around the house). I have been really needing this time out with my babies. Read with my daughter for a 1/2 hour and watched our favorite Christmas movie The Elf.

Looks like I posted two Day 8's so I am really on Day 10- I will definitely need to edit that. I have been a busy mom the last few days with my daughter's school and a cranky baby I haven't posted in a few. Well today I ended up spending time with the kiddos. Lots of floor time with both and laughter. Just plain taking some time out to be. I have been reading a bunch with my daughter. Had a parent/teacher conference and her teacher says she is adjusting very well to her new school. …
