Day 29/August 2 - this was the first day of vacation and my gift was advice to a fellow flight passenger. He was trying to put his rollerboard in the overhead compartment and he couldn't get the compartment door closed. I'd heard the flight attendant announcement that bags going in the middle overhead compartments had to be placed one direction and bags going in the side overhead compartments (near the windows) had to be turned the other direction. Wrote two notes today. One to wish a colleague 'welcome back' from maternity leave and the other to wish a student 'good luck' after her internship with us. I will be missing both of the first day back/last day dates because of a vacation, but I wanted to make sure that they knew I was thinking of them.Tomorrow will be Day 29 - the first day of our vacation. Day 21: jay walking. It's a state law here that we have to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks. Two people were jaywalking but I waved them on to cross.Day 22: bring a friend to dinner. Day 15- Carpoola-palooza! Drove neighbor children to summer school in morning and then ran carpool for a different Cub Scout family (and had the same Cub Scout from yesterday) in the afternoon.Day 16 - Phone call. My son is off to Cub Scout day camp this week. I asked another mom yesterday, after seeing her with her 3 younger kiddos (all under the age of 3) picking up from school and then dropping off at camp, if I could pick her son up from summer school and then take him to camp. DD is attending an arts camp this week. Today they had a bake sale to raise funds for scholarships. This was a classic day before, "Mom, can I take in baked goods?" kind of request. So the kids helped mix and I made 3 pans. One for the sale (only brownies brought in, much to my surprise), one for a weekend gathering, and one for the office.No clue if the colleagues liked it, but that's okay. Ended the work day by inviting a colleague out to lunch. He suggested the place (new to me) and I paid. It was nice to catch up with him about what's going on in his non-work life.

Day 25: cart corral. Put a random grocery cart back in the corral.
Day 26: left leg. I did a triathlon this morning and suggested to another participant to switch her timing chip from her right legroom her left leg to prevent it from potentially getting caught in the chain.
