I added this as a post too because I was not sure if everyone understood that this is a free service to all women in the US undergoing chemo -- thanks!

Wow! What a great day, and gives. I'm planning the Toy Drive give myself! Hope to come up with at least a nice bag of toys, though wouldn't be surprised to find 3 bags of nearly new toys around this house.

Day - 1 Here I go

Day 1 -- I'll be out there looking for opportunities!

This morning I started off by finding my husband matching socks. I know - it does not sound like much but If you could see our sock drawer you would reconsider. Anyway -- I felt that this was not enough so I made lunch for my sons teacher and his interpreter - I am very grateful for their help.

What's strange is that it came back to me. I recieved a note that my son got 100% on his science test! Also my brother-in-law brought some delicious cannoli and a mug from Carlos Bakery --- you know The Cake Boss.

Go Phillies!!!

Day 28 - Should have seen this one coming...

My son woke us all up at 5:30 this morning and made us rummage under our beds, scan the tops of dusty bookshelves, dig through our closets and journey into the basement to gather all of the new and gently used toys for his school's toy drive. So we managed to collect many games that were never opened, dolls that were never played with and beanie babies tossed into a rubber maid container. By 6:00 am, we had filled 3 trash bags (1 industrial sized!!).

Yep, I should have seen it coming. It starte… Continue

Day 25 -A Break, A Sale, 2 Mary Kay Lip Glosses And an Education on the Dos and Don'ts of Chick Flicks...

A Break - Gave my husband a break and let him go to his Man Stores alone without having to watch me yawn, check the time, or sit down in front of the camping magazines while waiting for him to cruise down every isle. (Win - Win.)

A Sale - My friend had a Mary Kay sale for the holidays. So between full time Sunday driving responsibilities (see above) I showed up. She told me I was the person who came so I bought a bunch of make up for gifts and had an excellent time laughing with her, her mother… Continue

Thanks so much for writing me! It's nice to meet you! I read your blog - so funny - I'm originally from Philadelphia and one of my favourite things to do when I happen upon someone early in the morning still sleeping on the street is to go buy them breakfast and leave it for them to find when they wake up! I loved reading what you've done - thanks so much for posting it! I'm looking forward to the next 29 days!

Well, the first year they won the Rookie All-Star award at the Pittsburgh regional and were able to go to Atlanta for the international competition. Last year, they made it to the semifinals in both regionals that they participated in, but no major awards. This will be the team's 3rd year. My son is a senior, so this will be his last year participating, although I'm sure my husband will continue to coach the team. My son is interested in bio-medical/bio-mechanical/robotics engineering. :o)

Hey! What kind of robotics team is your daughter on? My youngest son, 9, does FLL (FIRST Lego League), and my oldest son, 16, does FRC (the high school robotics). My husband coaches both teams. :o)
