Wednesday, Day 8: I talked to a friend who is going to have to go to Boston for surgery. I offered to bring her there for the procedure. Day 5 God is aware of all that you do

I have been a busy lady all day. Church with my husband and three daughters. Then took them to the pool for some exercise. Then to the laundromat. Our washer has been broken for six weeks and when they finally came to fix it Friday we found out the new part is going to cost over 350 dollars. My Mom is the greatest. She has 9 children, about 43 grandchildren and probably about 20 great grandchildren. It is certainly hard to keep track. The best thing about her is that she has the ability to keep us all pretty close even though we are spread out all over New England. Day 3 Show and Tell

I continue to write about this journey of giving and realize how much it is truly a way of life. As a mom, I think we all give on a continuous basis. On this day, I gave my daughter the book, "What to expect when your expecting." I found it at a used book store so it was a nice bargain. She is expecting a baby in September. Day 2

On day 2 of giving, I did something pretty simple. My daughter's boyfriend really needs a job. So I called my brother who has his own construction business and asked him if he could talk to him and possibly give him some hours. He wasn't home at the time but later in the evening he called me back. It just so happened that Adam (my daughters friend) was visiting at the time. Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:: I am choosing to give because I am a child of the most high God. He has given me life, love and the gift of his son Jesus. This is a lifestyle. Giving to those around me is something that I have to do because I have a large family. I am always taking care of the needs of others. I also work in dialysis and have to take c are of a lot of patients. This time I am making a conscious effort to give and give a little extra for those I see in need. Whether it be material, helpful service, prayer or emotional help. And to keep track of it. Not to say ; hey look what I did but to get out of my comfort zone and really look at the needs around me.

What I'd most like to receive:: I don't really want anything but to see a lot of smiles and joy. I am always encouraged by the written word.

About me:: Mother of 5 wonderful children. Married to a man I adore. I am a dialysis technician. Love my family. snowmobiling, writing, journaling, scrapbooking, baking. kind of a sentimental fool. have a dog named grover. Littlest Pet Shoppe Day 6

For my gift today, I sat with my little girl, Faith on her bedroom floor and played littlest pet shopps. She has a very vivid imagination. Has many rooms and play areas set up all over her room. It amazes me how creative she is with her toys. She asked me to play for just a little while and seemed content just to have me there with her! Then we enjoyed some Italian ice.
