Last night, I was sitting in my Master Catechist class and I realized that I had not done a GIVE yet.  I knew I wouldn't get home until 10PM and didn't want to miss an opportunity.  I was frustrated.....I pulled into the parking lot and grabbed the bag of trash from my trunk.  While tossing the bag into the dumpster, I noticed someone had missed the dumpster and their trash bag was laying on the ground.  Given the fact that the apartment complex sent nasty grams to all of us that they would…

Last night I was inspired to clean out my closets and get them organized.  I have a box full of books, purses, and odds and ends to take to the resale shop by my office that supports FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals).  I'm sure when I organize my dresser and nightstand, i will find more to box up.  It feels good because this gift is two-fold:  a cleaner, less cluttered apartment and helping our furry friends!

Yesterday at work, i was able to give a few cents to the man in front of me who didn't have enough change.  The lady at the counter tried to wave it off saying it was okay.  I told her I used to work retail and know when the register doesn't balance, she is responsible for the shortage.  He appreciated it and wanted to know my name to pay me back.  I told him to just pay it forward....wish i had a "gift tag" with me to let him know about this site! 

So this past weekend, I had many opportunities to give.....even though they were small opportunities.

Friday: I smiled at a stranger who appeared to be having a bad day.

Saturday:  My kitty got a new toy!  She doesn't like it.  It's in the same spot I tossed it when i bough tit for her. 

Sunday and Monday:  gift of time to my family.

I need to get focused and MAKE time to give.
