I didn't realize when I visited your blog today that you launched your book on the 3rd! I thought it was still to come. Congratulations! I hope it is a huge success.

I loved your book The Last Beach Bungalow. I'm a published writer and just finished my novel in fall of last year. I finally released it to my agent this month with much angst. What a time to attempt to shop a novel. At least I have a new project to work on. I can't wait to read your new book! You inspire me.

Hi Jennie,

I stumbled upon your comment on Stacey's blog page and I noticed you are a writer. Also, a breast cancer conqueror! YEAH!!!! I was wondering if I could open a line of communication with you regarding your books and if I could send you a small gift? Also, I would be happy to purchase one of your books? I really like the one about the old beach house...what age group is the target market?

I live relatively close since live in Irvine...would love to connect! Blessings for your day and thank you for your Light.

Dawn

From a friend who generously gave of her time and expertise

Big Book Giving

My novel came out today, and I celebrated by giving away 10 books. It felt very good. I haven't been recording my giving this past week -- SO BUSY -- but I have been giving...and that's what counts :)

The Nicest Women Here

The nicest women have reached out to help me in my giving. They are helping me learn the lesson I said I was after -- that whatever I give of myself is enough. I'm so hard on myself! I am also giving books away -- my brand new novel, due to hit the shelves next week. It's so much fun to send them out into the world to people who I have never met, to people who might never have known about the book, to people who care. I love it!

I Gave My Time

Prompted by all the kind people who are encouraging me, today I didn't agonize about what to give...I just gave. I gave my time to help my older daughter's sports team plan a celebration. I gave a lot of my time. And I was happy to do it.

Stuck on Day 4

It's Sunday...and I don't know what to give. I was so high on giving the first three days, and today I feel stuck. This is harder than I thought!

The Solution to Everything??

I stumbled upon 29Gifts while spending endless amounts of time trying to use social networking to sell my novel, The Only True Genus in the Family, which is coming out in three weeks. I'm always all about selling, selling, selling because that's what writers have to do these days. BUT. I landed on this site, and agonized about what I could give for 29 days, and instantly thought, BOOKS. What a perfect antidote to all the selling. I'll just give them away...one a day, I think. I'm so deeply excit… Continue

Thank you, Deb. I hope to get my hip x-rayed tomorrow - it has been unbearably painful for about 2 1/2 months. Once I get the x-rays, the next step is probably PT.
