Reiki, God, and other wonderful things
I joined 29gifts.org to find spirituality. Perhaps even a taste of it. Prior to finding this site, I made a habit of feeding homeless people. I did not do it because they were physically hungry. I did it because I needed something inside. Since joining this site, and completing my first cycle, many things have changed -- in extreme ways. Keeping Track of My Days...
DAY 1
I was outside a building on the Southside. There was an older man there, smoking. I began a conversation with him. He was waiting for his group therapy to begin. The guy spent the last fifteen years in prison. For the last six months, he has been in a community reintegration program. He knows he is damaged. How can you not be? Fifteen years is a long time to live as an animal.
I gave him words of encouragement and a fresh raspberry/white chocolate chip chocolate cookie.
