Today I went to help Charlene. I vaccumed and spent time with her. Will call her again this evening. She is a people person and at 80 years old does not like being alone in the country while her husband is recuperating at his daughter's. Since I am not employed right now, I try to spend time with her. She is my friend's mother and my friend lives in Ohio so doesn't get to visit often. Later this week hope to take her to see her other 3 children who live about an hour from us.

Nov 21 and 22

Sent long distance Reiki to my friend having chemo treatments. Visited with my friend whose wife is on a trip to Egypt. Called Charlene to cheer her up since her husband is still not home. Sunday the 22 took my husband to a buffet, one of his favorite places to eat. Took cooking magazines to my Grandson's mother. She loved them. She is a single mother and loves to read and I always compliment her on instilling the love of reading in my Grandson.

Helped a lady at the gas station when she didn't understand the gasoline grades and prices. She was from Illinois, but didn't seem to understand why the lowest octane was not the cheapest. Explained that the cheapest had ethanol added but was higher grade. For the life of me, I still don't understand why she would object to the higher octane being cheaper!! She thanked me and I told her about the 29 day giving challenge. Gave $20 to a young friend who needed gas money to get to work. This mornin… Continue

Am sorry to hear you also have sibling troubles... I appreciate so much that you shared your experience. It helps to know that my situation is not unique; although it is sad to know it isn't unique! Your brother is lucky to have you.

Wish I did live closer to Zoey. I am in the NW corner of Louisiana and she is four hours away in Little Rock. Her dad, my grandson, is stationed in the Air Force there. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Joyce,
Where I have lived the last few years there was no visible homeless. I was in a small town, now I am in a bigger town, but I haven't seen any homeless yet. But in the Pacific Northwest it is a huge problem in Portland, Vancouver area. I couldn't do everything, so I looked to see who could help. It was always appreciated by those I gave that information too. Thanks for the compliment

Happy Thanksgiving. Giving my family dinner today, INCLUDING turkey for my Mom and nephew, which is a big deal for me as I am a vegetarian and haven't bought meat in years. Ugh. Give the gift of life--go veg. Hmmm, so I guess I give that every day.
