Ahhh what a great quote! Thanks....

Hi Group! Love the quotes Sharon - they always keep me focused. Here's one that really makes me think about my actions.... “The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling sto...

Artists are so generous. Most artists I meet or have the privilege to talk with in 29 Gifts are talented, caring people. This is such a generous gift. Thank you for all your hard work and for your willingness to help others.

Ok, done. Hope it helps - how many times can we vote for you? Can we vote each day???

A great lesson for all. Thanks so much.

This is one of my favorite quotes: “Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots, Kind words are the flowers, Kind deeds are the fruits, Take care of your garden And keep out the weeds, Fill it with sunshine, Kind words, and Kind deeds...

The analogy is perfect! Thanks so much!

My Daughter

Today I received an invitation from my daughter, Marlo, who is having a one-day one woman show in New York on May 8. Unfortunately, I recently had neck surgery and will not be able to travel on an airplane for several more weeks as I am still in a soft neck ring...so I shall miss this opportunity to be of support. I am really having a problem with it - I know she understands and does not want me to travel until my neck is healthy but somehow I can't seem to feel good about missing her show - she… Continue

Today, Yesterday, and Tomorrow

Well, here I am again. It's been several months since I wrote anything in 29-Day. Not that I have had nothing to say, but I really feel awkward about what I call 'tooting my own horn'. Now don't get me wrong - I love reading about what everyone is doing - I just have a hard time sharing what I am doing. Decided it must have something to do with how I was brought up.....go figure!

As 29-Day Giving taught me, I am constantly trying to find a way to give to those around me - nothing spectaular - j… Continue

Today with my Father-in-Law

My 93 year young father-in-law is here with us for a couple of days. He is a very astute gentleman as he reads the newspaper every day - every article on every page. Normally, I do not sit and listen to his babble about things in the news as he mostly complains and talks about the good old days. Today, however, I decided the best thing I could do was give him a bit of my time, to listen, to sympathize, and to encourage him, and to let him know we are all anxious about the upcoming election and t… Continue

The Window Guy

As you know, we had Hurricane Ike visit us a few months ago. One of the things that he brought was a lot of wind which placed debris and other "stuff" on our windows. We had our windows cleaned by a company only one month before Ike and it had cost us quite a bit of money (we have lots of windows - large ones that are high and difficult to reach) so we were weighing how we could justify spending the money again.

On Saturday morning a nice dressed gentleman came to our door and told me he was a… Continue

Elysia - How strong she is!

If you have not read Elysia's story, you should as it will inspire you. It was my honor to read about her and my privilege to be able to add my small contribution to help her. She's a fighter and I want to be right there with her - maybe not in person but in thought - we're pulling for you Elysia!
