- I'm a 31 year old mother of two wonderful girls, ages 4 and 8. I work full time in low income senior housing. I'm also a licensed massage therapist, though I rarely practice; and a girl scout troop leader to some fantastic little Brownies!

Today was a long, hard day at work. I rode with my boss, who is also my good friend, to a different property about an hour away from home. It is an apartment complex for low income seniors and it has been run very poorly for the last couple of years. All of the files are a mess, the house rules have never been enforced, the building is filthy, the maintenance staff is undertrained, and the residents are mad at us because we are making huge changes... they don't understand how much better…

I haven't gone to the dentist in 10 years (give or take). I've wanted to go to the dentist for 10 years (give or take). Ten years ago I was pregnant and the smell of toothpaste made me sick... even the thought of the smell of toothpaste made me sick! I didn't want to get sick at the dentist's office so I cancelled. I never rescheduled... After a few years, I didn't go to the dentist because I was: 1.) embarrased that I hadn't gone in so long; 2.) scared of what a mess my teeth must be! …
