My gift for today may not seem like much but we live in a condo across the street from a community college and street parking can be very difficult. Our neighbors have a couple of older sons at home and 4 cars between them all. We have two spaces and one car. We will be traveling a lot for the next few weeks, so I let them know the dates we will be gone so they could park in our spaces. They are always so appreciative. Day 14 - Music for all

Today I ordered violins and music stands for a school in Tijuana that I help support. I get a great deal from a vendor in LA and I can pick them up next week while I am there. The school is called the The Americas Foundation, it is over 20 years old and is supported by mostly donations and whatever the students families can afford. Tonight I volunteered to join the social committee at our Condo and to help plan the summer BBQ. It is so hard to get people to volunteer, we have 260+ units and everyone seems to be so busy that they don't have time to do anything for the good of the community. It is not a huge commitment but I travel a lot so I have been hesitant to join in. Today I decided that I need to be more involved and get outside of my comfort zone. My Husband and I spent the day shoveling gravel at our nephew and niece's new house in the country. They will be moving into next weekend and needed to finish the covered doggy run so their puppies would be safe from coyotes.
After working all day, my Mother in-law made us a wonderful dinner and we celebrated Fathers Day…
