Since I found 29 Gifts in a bookstore in Moab last year, and I'm back here again for Thanksgiving in one my favorite places, I felt that it was time to start over with a second 29 days, and hopefully longer. I've missed it!
Day 1: My gifting for today was some food for the Moab food bank.
The non-smoking motel

My favorite gift was Day 2 when my husband and I stopped in a small town in NV during a road trip back to our home in Boise. We needed a place to stay for the night and found this totally incongruent non-smoking hotel in a town flled with casinos. When we walked into the motel office to check-in, Fred, the proprietor, looked me up and down, "Do you smoke young lady?" he said in a serious voice. "No sir" I answered with much empasis.
