While I haven't been very diligent in my blogging I've certainly been busy incorporating giving (and recieving) into my life where ever, and when ever possible.

Some of the highlights have been:
Helping a dear friend with physical disabilities find a way to keep her dogs. She was unable to provide them with an adequate exercise routine to tame their restlessness so we began taking them together to a leash free park in our city. What a gift it has been for us both.

Reflections cast out, bouncing back

Multiple Sclerosis has been an inciduous thief gradually stealing my energy, flexiblity, strength, coordination, sensation, balance and perception of where my body is in space. Today I gave my hairdresser my undivided attention in addition to a generous tip. As she cut my hair we had a great chat and I learned much about her life. I tried to take the effort off making light conversation as she does that all day long.

I challenged a few of my friends to identify five things that are positive in their lives. I found it interesting that all of them said the first thing they were thankful for was being alive. What that says I am not sure....

Latest Giving

At a grocery store the man ahead of me was using food bank vouchers, and I paid the balance so he wouldn't have to cash the second one in. It was only a few dollars but it meant he can use his second voucher another time.

A friend of mine is a foster mom and she was doing foster relief for a child in another foster home. The child was arriving Christmas day and staying for a month. I took a Christmas search and find book, several polly pocket sets and a game so that she would feel welcome and h… Continue
