Hi Kimberly, Well I have 3 journals going right now, so guess I would have to day it's going pretty good! lol Glad you are enjoying yours. I love quilts, especially old ones, but my sewing leaves alot to be desired, I admire those of you who can do them.

Portland shuts down with the threat of snow, and if it does snow, or worse have ice the city stops. Staying home is usually the only option. It really is pretty there though in the Northwest. Lots of evergreen trees.
That is interesting about how he wrote the book. I loved the book, it took a long look at his relationship with the Godhead. It is about questioning your believes and forgiveness. Some of my friends have had a problem with the way "Mack" depicted God, but I reminded them that it was Mack's journey and his perceptions. It is always good to come face to face with God and walk away knowing that you are loved.

Kimberly,
The Shack is written by Wm. Paul Young. I saw it at Walmart, so it must be available everywhere. Portland is mild, but once in a while they have winter. Ice storms are wicked with the wind blowing out of the Gorge. There isn't a prettier sight then the city encased in ice. The storms do not last long. Portland is close to the ocean, cold water that far north though, and close to Mt. Hood in the opposite direction. Portland is known as the City of Roses.

Kimberly,
Thank-you for your kind remarks. Yes, I have thought of writing these stories. It is a long and twisting story and I have not been sure that it would be well received. I will have to rethink the possibilty of trying to put this down on paper.

You each keep one journal, usually the one you start with. At the beginning we decorate the front cover, I usually coallge on mine. I think you would really enjoy exchanging one.

I'm back on Jan 28

What a week it has been! Profound doesn't begin to describe the deep spiritual work I have done and had the privilege to receive since I last entered a blog.

I have been attending The Freedom Formula. It was a focus on bringing your spiritual life into your business and doing both well, not one or the other. I met deep thinking, deeply God focused men and women, Marianne Williamson, Neal Donald Walsch, James Tymon, David Neagle, and Christine Kloser among them. They have authored books and films… Continue

Day 20, 21, 22 Jan, 16, 17, 18

Wowo, those numbers are getting up there and my life is ever busier. More gives begets more gets and that begets more gives and on and on it goes. Positive messages, positive everything is what I am giving to others and myself. I see no reason whatsoever to do otherwise. Helpful info can be put in a positive manner. Rewriting in my mind before speaking is all it takes. Resolution of small issues took place this week and i continued to reach out and help when asked or could be of help.

I am devo… Continue

Day 16-19, Jan. 12-15

It's been a powerful week of insights and understandings. All gifts, I feel unstuck in ways that I am so grateful to be clear on now.

I have begun adult literacy training. It is intense, meaningful, important and I feel blessed to be able to help someone else's life improve because they will have the ability to read and write. I thought it was a give, but it's a get.

I gave time today so that someone could get hours they needed for a training experience, but i got something from the exchange a… Continue

Day 14 and 15, Jan. 10 & 11

Another few hours of picking up trash from public areas, this time the park where kids play after school and where I enjoy the library. People start to help! Great exercise and it was a beautiful day to be out.

Walked the dig in her favorite park, let her lead for a couple hours on Sat. I think my "appearance" is changing as I find more people in town are stopping me to ask a question about what restaurant to eat it for bla bla, or where can they take their dog, or get this or that. It seems wi… Continue

Day 13, Jan. 9

Finally I posted photos from the Pasadena New Years Day Rose Parade last week to share with the challenge. The cloudy gray sky makes all of the pictures less colorful than the usual blue sky hanging behind them from year's previous. Bit it is what it is, and it's my give for the day!

Today's plans for work, I'm self-employed, were severely interrupted by something I was called to do, with a smile on my face. I focused on working this out as I for most of the day and many hours it took to accomp… Continue
